Artist Residency
Where art, learning, and possibility meet to create radically hopeful educational futures
The Earl Center’s Artist Residency cultivates radically hopeful futures through creative practice, community engagement, and public dialogue.
Jeffrey Nowlin
2025 Artist in Residence
Through weaving, embroidery, and found materials, Jeffrey Nowlin reimagines the textures of human experience—transforming moments of trauma and healing into evocative works of art. By incorporating everyday objects such as frames, bottle caps, and vessels, he creates pieces that are both intimate and profound.
As part of his residency, Jeffrey will engage with students, faculty, and the BU and Boston community to explore art as a mode of inquiry and care. His practice resonates deeply with the Center’s mission to advance equity, imagination, and justice through collective design of transformative educational futures.
Stay tuned for upcoming workshops, open studios, and conversations with the artist.
